Reporter visits a camp where ISIS fighters are held…
That's Richard Engel…
He's had an RPG blast right next to him in Libya, he was in Mariupol right before the invasion of Ukraine, and he was actually captured by an affiliate ISIS. Similar reporters captured by that same affiliate had their heads cut off.
He is one of the most fearless journalists on planet earth. If there is a conflict, he is there. Afghanistan, Russia, Middle East it doesn't matter. Look him up…
Anyway, all of these camps will just create new uneducated pliable followers, for the next group of extremists.
How sweet of them…

New strain of bacteria found on China’s Tiangong space station…
They found a brand-new microbe strain on the Tiangong space station that has special tools to survive space radiation and stress. Clearly, if bacteria can adapt up there, studying them will help us protect astronauts and even invent new biotech tricks back on Earth.
Might be the first time I've seen "new strain of bacteria" in a positive context…

A surprise geomagnetic storm...
This was not in the forecast. An unexpected G2-class geomagnetic storm occured during the early hours of May 17th, sparked by the glancing blow of a CME. Originally expected to miss Earth, the CME was launched on May 12th by an erupting magnetic filament in the sun's northern hemisphere. The ejecta was wider than models predicted, and some of the debris struck Earth after a 4-day tansit from the sun…
During the storm, auroras appeared over more than a dozen US states as far south as New Mexico. There was also something more. A white plume bisected the sky:
This plume was not an aurora, not STEVE but was related to a rocket launch in China. About an hour before the plume appeared (5:39 UTC), Chinese launch startup Landspace launched the ZhuQue-2E rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center (4:12 UTC).
ZhuQue-2E is a new type of rocket powered by liquid oxygen and liquid methane. This "methalox" technology was developed by Landspace, and their ZhuQue-2 series of methane rockets are the first to reach orbit ahead of other companies like Elon Musk's SpaceX. Methalox offers several advantages over traditional rocket fuels like kerosene and hydrogen. Methane is more easily stored, burns cleaner, and can be produced on Mars…

Thank you and have a great Sunday,

They caught the young guy who bombed the fertility clinic. He says he “didn’t ask to be born.” Please bring back mental institutions 🙄
Methane is a serious greenhouse gas. Using a lot of purified methane in rockets will inevitably have an atmospheric effect. This is probably for the best. All of these attempts to limit greenhouse gas have been a disaster for the moisture content of the air and for the plants that depend on CO2 to function.
