Horns of fire solar eclipse...
Your daily dose of natural disasters and amazing phenomena for March 29, 2025...
When the sun rose over Maine this morning, something was missing: about 85% of the sun. A solar eclipse was underway.
And some witnessed an amazing 'horns of fire' eclipse:
The devil is in the details…

Haiti - Years after the earthquake…
Some fat cat with a concrete company got a grant from an aid organization to build housing…

But who the hell? It seems that the largest concrete factory in Haiti is owned by family of the former Harvard President - the one who quit when they were about to fire her for plagiarism last year… Funny isn’t it? Btw, what the heck is happening with that school? Bunch of grads end up in high level financial crimes… Grift and nepotism…
Anyway, Haiti is 'collapse' (and that is NOT an earthquake pun.)
Hopefully, the many new homeless people following the M7.7 earthquake in Myanmar and/ or Thailand will get similar roofs over their heads…
By the way, this giant crack has opened up in the ground near Myittha, Mandalay Region, following the powerful M7.7 earthquake in Myanmar… OMG! This is crazy…
Mysterious life forms…
Prototaxites do not fit into any known Branch of Life…
They are believed to be the first giant organisms to thrive on dry land.
Some species of Prototaxites grew up to 26 feet (8 meters) in height and resembled tree trunks composed of tiny interconnected tubes…
Giants here… Giants there… Giants roamed the primitive Earth…
At least 4 dead after nearly 2 feet of flooding rain deluges South Texas…
Fortunately, the heavy rain is over… Dry weather is expected this weekend into the first half of next week, with temperatures above normal…
Perfect time to clean up the mess as the next heavy storm rolls in…
MORE…
Kotoku Wamura, mayor of a Japanese village called Fudai, was mocked for spending billions of public funds on a floodgate, until the floodgate ended up saving the village from the 2011 Japan Tsunami…
So to add context to this story.
During construction of the flood gate, multiple times Wamura insisted for the floodgate to be over 50 feet in height. Others tried to push for it to be 20 feet, then 30 feet, then 35 feet. But Wamura got his way and the floodgate was built to be 51 feet in height at the end of things.
It was largely considered a waste of funds that could have gone to other things. But Wamura would always insist that it was a wise decision.
While it cannot be confirmed, there are those who testified that the reason that Wamura was so insistent was that when he was a boy an elder from his village told him of a giant wave that had consumed the village in the past and point to a stone high on a hill to show just how tall the waters had gotten.
Yep, there’s no dumb ideas to protect your people…
Animals react to seeing themselves for the first time in a mirror…
Bear lost his shit…
To be fair, you'd also lose your shit if you saw a bear…

Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider is hanging up its boots after a last, the 25th, and final run, that kicked off this week on Long Island…
The original idea behind RHIC was to create, for the first time on Earth, a state of matter that existed in the universe a few microseconds after the Big Bang: the quark-gluon plasma, and we did…
Well if you have weird weather in the next few days, it’s maybe because they restarted this freaking thing… That’s the CERN of NY…
Jeff Bezos built a fence on his property that exceeds the permitted height…
He doesn't care, he pays fines every month…

The Elon Musk-centered deal is expected to be good for Elon Musk…
Elon Musk’s AI Company xAI Buys Elon Musk’s Social Media Platform X…
Yep, his xAI has acquired X, the social media app formerly known as Twitter, in an all-stock transaction for $45 billion, including $12 billion debt (33 + 12 = 45).
‘xAI and X's futures are intertwined. Today, we officially take the step to combine the data, models, compute, distribution and talent,’ Musk said in a post on X, adding that the combined company would be valued at $80 billion.
Next: X has purchased xAI for 100 billion, in an all-stock transaction, including $80 billion debt…

Scientists find 18 million tons of 'white gold' beneath California's Salton Sea worth $540 billion…
Sounds like the US is gonna have to annex California now… LOL!
To me, the ultimate irony is ththe following: Ssaving the World with electric vehicles means strangling the Atacama desert and other salt flats like the Salton Sea around the Planet…
But don’t worry, environmental mess at Salton Sea has already happened…
Meanwhile, some in Nepal protest to bring back Monarchy…
Why do they want to bring back monarchy? Probably because they are idiots…
