A partial eclipse will be visible for parts of the northeastern United States, eastern Canada, Greenland, Europe, Northwest Africa, and northwestern Russia on March 29, 2025…
The partial solar eclipse will start at around 4:50 AM EDT and end at 8:40 AM EDT. During the peak of the event, up to 94% of the sun surface will be covered.
Close to 800M people will be in the path of the partial solar eclipse, but only 40K people may witness >90% eclipse (in far-north Quebec, Canada).

Eclipse season
This eclipse is part of an eclipse season, a period, roughly every six months, when eclipses occur. Only two (or occasionally three) eclipse seasons occur each year, and each season lasts about 35 days and repeats just short of six months (173 days) later; thus two full eclipse seasons always occur each year.
In the March eclipse season, there has been a Blood moon solar eclipse on March 13-14, 2025.
