RIZZ! I didn’t even know about this word… But it was one of eight words on a shortlist, all chosen to reflect the mood, ethos or preoccupations of 2023…
The ‘Word of the Year 2023’ is used massively online, with billions of views of the hashtag "rizz" on TikTok… Yep! you know the US and Chinese brainwashing social media app...
According to Oxford University Press, which publishes the Oxford English Dictionary, ‘rizz’ is defined as style, charm, or attractiveness, and the ability to attract a romantic or sexual partner.
The term is thought to be a shortened form of the word "charisma." It's essentially a newer version of "game", defined as skill, prowess, and the ability to attract others sexually by using one's charm.
Playing with the feelings of others
In other words, people with lots of partners are the most charismatic… Or the more you get laid or have sex, the better you are… You will be relevant to us and our society only if you have a lot of sex with plenty of different partners…
Actually, this aligns with my definitions of ‘sexual predation,’ ‘cheating,’ and ‘lying’ and is all against my definitions of ‘love,’ ‘safety’ and ‘society’ …
No wonder HIV, AIDS and all the other STDs like syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, are skyrocketing again… Same for the number of rapes…

Swiftie (n.): an enthusiastic fan of the singer Taylor Swift [draft definition]
Prompt (n.): an instruction given to an artificial intelligence program, algorithm, etc., which determines or influences the content it generates [draft definition]
De-influencing (n.): the practice of discouraging people from buying particular products, or of encouraging people to reduce their consumption of material goods, esp. via social media [draft definition]

I'd never heard of Rizz either. Re one of the shortlisted candidates "swiftie" Not a new word. "Pulling a swiftie" - an old slang term used in Australia, means to intentionally deceive, to trick another person , a ruse, or deception e.g. "I reckon that bloke was pulling a swiftie when he said the dog was only two years old." Sometimes spelt swifty .
