Your daily dose of natural disasters and amazing phenomena for January 28, 2021
A lot of weird stuff going on right now!
How are you doing today? I am fine, thank you! At least better than a few others around the world…
The first full moon of the year has just reached peak illumination today, January 28, 2021, at 2:16 p.m. ET. The Wolf Moon will continue to shine brightly throughout the night, visible once it rises above the horizon around sunset. Unlike 2020, which saw 13 full moons, 2021 will have the typical 12 full moons.
When the sky turns into a colorful masterpiece, you get something like that… @h0rdur
But how is it even possible? Now please tell me what is this mysterious bright light captured by an airline pilot while flying over Pakistan:
Strange Sounds and skyquakes

Natural disasters
A dangerous volcano in the Philippines is currently being hit by a swarm of more than 800 tiny quakes. Is the Pinatubo stratovolcano going to erupt soon?
The severe snowfall in Madrid has taken a catastrophic toll on its trees, severely damaging up to 70% of those in its main parks.
Meanwhile, another earthquake swarm is shaking parts of Andalousia, with more than 200 tremors striking near Granada. Officials believe aren’t sure of its origin but believe this seismic energy is released from the clash of two tectonic plates.
The chill of solar minimum has also driven China’s fresh vegetable prices to unprecedented levels.
So what about a perfect solar storm? A new study has calculated the odds of such an event… And it could actually turn even worse than our worst expectations.
The findings of this new paper are horrifying but ultimately not that surprising. The global population of sharks and rays has crashed by more than 70% in the past 50 years, pushing many species towards extinction. Yes! It’s hard to withstand extensive commercial fishing pressure.
Mystery and ancient history
In 2008, a kayaking tourist spotted a “face” etched into a cliff on a remote island in Canada’s Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. She snapped photographs of the rocky countenance, but when she returned to land, she wasn’t able to pinpoint its exact location. No one has been able to find it since.
Researchers have discovered an underwater pyramid 60 meters high and 8000 meters square base near the Bank De João de Castro, between the islands of Terceira and São Miguel.
The structure was identified by the sailor Diocleciano Smith based on bathymetry readings. The author does not believe that the pyramid is of natural origin. The Government says that the matter is already being investigated with the support of the Portuguese Navy.
A mysterious blood-sucking creature that attacked 50 baby llamas and alpacas in Chile has left a farmer fearing the "evil" legend of the Chupacabra, a zombie-like entity that fed off of the blood of cattle.
World News, Health and Society
China toughened its language towards Taiwan on Thursday, warning after recent stepped up military activities near the island that “independence means war” and that its armed forces were acting in response to provocation and foreign interference.
Pakistan’s Supreme Court on Thursday ordered the release of an Islamist convicted of beheading American journalist Daniel Pearl, a decision that has left his family in “complete shock.”. I would too.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has advised pregnant women against having Moderna's Covid-19 jab. Meanwhile a German study involving over 25,000 children reveals that major negative impacts on the physical, psychological, and behavioral health of children may be far more widespread than reported in the media and by government officials, affecting approximately 68% and contributing to 24 distinct health complaints.
Doomsday Clock: It looks like humanity is still closer to apocalypse than ever.
