People who live alone aren't prone to choking to death on food anymore than those who live with family, it's not high up on the list of killers of singles. You could die of a stroke or heart attack much sooner. I always trust in the Lord and although I live alone, I'm NOT alone. And I'm not imagining this either as some people accuse me of being. He is my CONSTANT COMPANION and I trust Him with my life in all regards. I'm 62 yrs old (had to stop and think how old I was!? : 0) and I live alone. I work out with heavy weights 3X per week for 2 hours and before so doing, I pray that I will not injure myself and I pray also that I don't have a heart attack or stroke or aneurysm. The reason? I want to SEE HIM COME IN THE CLOUDS of Heaven and call me up ALIVE and waiting for Him! Part of that prayer is that if a stroke or heart attack is in His Plans for my life that He take me all the way Home and not leave me here incapacitated. I want to take care of myself until I'm 91 like my dad does!
The dog Hachiko was made into a movie, "Hachi". I'm not a weepy movie watcher, never have been but this one had me balling. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. You'll be weeping yourself, I guarantee it. The tears come from two of our strongest emotions, joy and sorrow combined. That's what makes it such a tear jerker.
Who? What? Me? I'm not a sissy! Yeah, I cried...so what? That doesn't make me a sissy, does it? Just kidding, I hesitated watching it a second time though. I didn't want to be a serial sissy! : ) Great movie, tho. It ups the love of dogs quality in us and says, "did you hug your dog today?"
I love your Substack but we live in a world filled with such enormous despondency and despair is it possible you could please refrain from publicizing anything related to the sorrow of animals? Cheers!
