Although growing up in the 60s and 70s I was never a Jerry Garcia fan. There was no appeal of their music to me for some reason, too "unprogressive" for me nonetheless, is it any wonder that the federal gov't would employ such a person? It all comes down to money. Follow the money. The Grateful Dead were one of the biggest recording "artists" of their time selling millions upon millions of records. Garcia had multi millions. He was in their club. No wonder I didn't like him.

I didn't like the Beatles or the Stones OR Bruce Springsteen either and I grew up having to listen to them all because the only station in Pittsburgh at that time that played the music (80s rock) that I liked was WDVE and they played all of the above ad nauseum. (I don't actually comment on my own comments but this format won't allow me to edit my comments)

LOL. As the keeper of way too many chickens, I believe the arrowhead is actually an ancient representation of "The Great Chicken Foot" (as it was known to Bronze age man).
