1) Librarians have lost their damn minds. It's okay to censor health information that goes against the AMA and Who, but pornography is literature? It is not difficult to select age appropriate, Kirkus or Horn Book STARRED reviews (I doubt that book was 5 starred), andif and when Kirkus and Horn Book get corrupted like our medical journals (Lancet, etc.) because they too have been corrupted by the mind virus, let's just acknowledge that standards for literature can be set clearly with and without reviews.
I had to be on college before I could read the Marquis de Sade...and trust me, that man catalogued every human perversion , all the while sitting in a jail for 20 years. But his book had a point. Unlike Anais Nin. These are the same people who took away the Laura INgalls wilder books because she and Mary were "afraid of those dirty Indians" that they later cam to know and understood to be human beings, just like us. THEY CENSORED HISTORY as it was thought and written.....And is of value in teaching children that values and moray's change.
