It’s weird how everybody concentrates on just one (or two) mesurable molecules in our atmosphere (we almost only hear about CO2 and CH4), when more obvious phenomena like underice rivers and volcanoes have probably more effect on ice melting than their freaking ‘Climate change’… River beneath Antarctic ice sheet affect ice loss… And volcanoes under Antarctica Ice too…
For months, Mars has been creeping eastward among the stars of the constellation Taurus. Yesterday, Oct. 30th, it reversed course. Now the planet is moving westward. Astronomers call this "retrograde motion." It's a sign that Earth and Mars are about to have a close encounter.
The onset of retrograde motion means that Earth and Mars are converging. At closest approach on Dec. 1st the two worlds will be just 0.545 AU apart, providing spectacular views through backyard telescopes. Retrograde motion will continue through Jan 12, 2023… Just a few days ago, the RED planet turned BLUE… Weird phenomena on Mars right now…
