Reality here is that threats are on every corner, once you go peer into the rabbit hole you realize it is a complex network of tunnels many of which intersecting each other. There is no changing this unfortunate reality, we are here because of the concept of SOCIETY, the Neanderthal was on the right path, unfortunately he was killed off by the climate and the expansion of the homosaps. Just in case nobody has concluded yet, humans are metaphorically a bacteria, good or bad, doesn't matter, at the end of the day human nature is what it is. The good can't change the bad, and the bad can't change the good. The war is perpetual. The real challenge is steering through it all without playing into the agendas of either side. Maybe space-travel one day will permit individual families to just fly off into space to find their own home, but the moment a 'society' forms, back to square one. Nature.
